All my parts arrived today for the T3600 GPU upgrade—just in time to prep for a motherboard makeover on Mother’s Day. Sunday is mine, and I’m spending it with thermal paste and VRAM instead of brunch.
I unboxed my Gigabyte Windforce RTX 3060 (12GB VRAM), a 2TB SSD, and a PCIe 6-to-8 pin adapter. This is the setup I’ve been waiting for to finally accelerate my Blender workflow and kick off my self-hosted AI projects. The T3600 might be old, but with the right parts and a clean PSU, it’s about to transcend its limitations.
Sunday’s plan is locked in. I’ll be spending Mother’s Day with my motherboard, cracking open the case like a tech-sorceress mid-ritual. No mimosa brunch, just fresh thermal paste and fan blades to clean. I’ll swap in the new SSD, power up the Windforce beast, and bless this rig for local model use.

I also took a free IBM certification course on prompt engineering—because why not upgrade my brain while I upgrade my machine? It covered techniques like Tree of Thought, Reflexion, and structured prompt chaining.
I now see prompting as a logic circuit:
I plan to keep stacking these free certs in my precious nighttime hours. Every one brings me closer to confidently engineering my own agents—chatbots that live offline and serve real-time tasks.
Once this GPU is humming, the next mission is bot deployment. My plan is to script a modular IRC channel with local LLMs—each one trained for a domain: code, philosophy, news, documentation. They’ll all live on my local box and respond via Python bridges. No cloud dependency. No surveillance.
