A thoughtful research workflow

What is Open Knowledge being built to do?

Keep the path from a question to its evidence visible.

  • Find research

Search Crossref and OpenAlex for educational research and keep the bibliographic details close to the question you are exploring.

  • Trace the source

Keep provenance and bibliographic checks with each record, so you can return to the original source and assess it yourself.

  • Keep and cite

Collect records in a local knowledge bank and export CSL citations for your writing and research notes.

Questions

What should I know about the project?

Clear answers about its purpose, sources and availability.

What is Arynwood Open Knowledge?

Arynwood Open Knowledge is an open-source project in development for educational and special education research. It brings research discovery, bibliographic checks, source provenance and a local knowledge bank into one workflow.

Who is the project for?

Teachers, students, education researchers and anyone gathering evidence for learning and teaching. The aim is to make it easier to follow a question back to its sources and keep useful research organized.

Where does it find research?

The project searches Crossref and OpenAlex. A record’s provenance and bibliographic checks help you trace it to its source. Finding a record does not mean the full text is openly licensed or that the study’s findings have been independently verified.

Can I use or download it today?

It is in development and has not been released. Follow the source repository for the build and release status. There is no public download offered here yet.

Do I need an ORCID account?

The project includes optional ORCID sign-in and use without an account. ORCID identifies a researcher; signing in does not validate a study or endorse its conclusions.

How does it connect with Arynwood Grove?

Grove is Arynwood’s separate community and planning tool. Open Knowledge focuses on research sources and citations. You can follow both projects here; no integration between them is promised.
